Creative Industry Law Mentioned in The Hollywood Reporter

Lizbeth Hasse and Erin Brinza of Creative Industry Law were acknowledged in The Hollywood Reporter, Variety magazine and numerous other news outlets for their contributions in providing legal support to film producer Rudy Langlais in connection with a new film financing structure in Antigua.  The new structure was announced at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this month.

Heart to Heart International Children’s Medical Alliance recently honored her for her 25 years of pro bono service as the organization’s General Counsel.

Hasse has provided guidance and trouble-shooting for a wide variety of legal and practical matters, from negotiating protocols with the former Soviet ministries to setting up non-profit joint venture agreements with each partner medical center in Russia, navigating customs issues and educating Russian lawyers about charitable/nonprofit legal organizational matters.

Frigate Bay Films Develops Rights to “Miles and Me”

A Story of Friendship, Jazz, and The Genius of Miles Davis

Frigate Bay Filmworks, Inc. has purchased the rights to the book and screenplay “Miles and Me” by writer, poet and long-time Miles Davis confidant, Quincy Troupe. The screenplay tells the story of the relationship between the two men, while exploring the life and operatic death of Davis, considered by many to be the single most innovative influence in jazz history.

Davis’ life and music is a landmark of the 20th Century. “Miles music is the whole scope, passion, evolution, conflicts of the century,” said Rudy Langlais, president of Frigate Bay. “Miles Davis was the ‘birth of cool.’”

San Francisco Daily Journal profiled Creative Industry Law on November 1, 2013 in a full-length piece entitled “New Frontiers.”

Daily staff journal writer, Hamed Aleaziz, discusses the careers of principal and founder Lizbeth Hasse as well as associate Erin Harrison, noting how their unique backgrounds in intellectual property and entertainment enhance their current legal practice.
